Another reason some Hollywood progressives have been reticent to speak out against war in Syria, according to Asner, is fear of being called racist. “A lot of people don’t want to feel anti-black by being opposed to Obama,” he said.

Again, the irony is sweet. Socialist Ed Asner is afraid of the very climate he and the left created. Oh, how very sweet

Well, France, Germany, Great Britain, The U.N., Russia, China and almost every country in the world disagrees with obama's plan to attack Syria so by the liberal standards all these countries and the U.N. must be racist.

(AP) Foreigner detained as spy in Egypt found dead

CAIRO - A Foreigner once detained by Egyptian authorities on suspicion of being a spy has been found dead.

Mahmoud Hassib, the head of Egypt's southern protected areas, said Saturday that local residents found the dead foreigner on an island in the Nile, south of the ancient city of Aswan.

In August, a local resident found the foreigner in Egypt's Qena governorate, some 450 kilometers (280 miles) southeast of Cairo. Both he and police were suspicious of the electronic device found on the foreigner. Authorities later let the foreigner go.

However, controversy trails the foreigner into death. An Egyptian organization claimed on its Facebook page the foreigner was "eaten by local villagers." Hassib denied that the foreigner had been eaten, though he didn't know an exact cause of death.

OMG ... Cannibalism !!

There is no denying that Saddam Hussein had used chemical weapons on his own people. He had.

However, any weapons that once existed were no longer within the borders of Iraq by the time we invaded that nation.

And for the record, I have no problem with what was done, with the exception of the high number of casualties that were involved.

Saddam needed to go. I just feel it could have been handled by a sniper team, rather than a full fledged military invasion.

From the LA Times article title" The White House didn't lie about Iraq. No matter what the Dems say, the evidence against Bush simply isn't there.

In 2004, the Senate Intelligence Committee unanimously approved a report acknowledging that it "did not find any evidence that administration officials attempted to coerce, influence or pressure analysts to change their judgments." The following year, the bipartisan Robb-Silberman report similarly found "no indication that the intelligence community distorted the evidence regarding Iraq's weapons of mass destruction."

John Kerry said that Assad could avoid air strikes by giving up all his chemical weapons within a week. Later the State Department said Kerry was making a rhetorical argument and this wasn’t a serious offer and only Obama can create “Red Lines”.

Russia quickly jumped on Kerry’s misstatement and offered that they would work with the Syrians to have outside control of their chemical weapons and then destroy them. Of course they will take forever to work out the details even if they do so.

This ties Obama’s hands as far as mounting a strike against Syria and the longer he delays the more political and citizen resistance to an attack will increase. Once again Obama and his “scumbags” have put on display their absolute incompetence.
