Chattanooga motorcycle accident leaves one dead

A motorcycle accident near the 5000-block of Lee Highway left one dead Monday evening.

A 32-year-old male was driving southbound on Lee Highway when he was struck by a Toyota SUV as it turned left onto Airport Road, according to Chattanooga Police. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.

Police dispatchers reported that the motorcycle was on fire following the accident Monday night.
