Bessie Smith Cultural Center will get a jump on Valentine's Day with dinner, dancing and smooth R&B on Sunday, Feb. 10. "An Intimate Evening of Romance," featuring platinum-selling recording artist Kevon Edmonds, will begin at 6 p.m.
Edmonds, an older brother of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, will be backed by his band to perform hits dating from his time with '90s R&B group After 7 to his current solo career. His latest release is "Who Knew."
Opening act will be jazz artist Joe Johnson of Nashville.
The dance floor will be open for the concert, which is part of the Songbook Series at the center.
