America is in a mess. And it began on the heels of World War II.

Walter Williams is right.

Recently, at the Walmart on Brainerd Road, I witnessed a good deed.

The writer July 9 seems neither an educator nor someone familiar with that world.

I am writing to urge support of Medicaid expansion in Tennessee.

Today, there is a movement in the country to weaken the nation.

The Times Free Press article "Jamie's Choice (June 17, 2014) states new construction "will be the only year-round emergency shelter for homeless families in the city."

The 1300 block of Gunbarrel Road is under another threat of higher-density rezoning at today’s City Council meeting.

The Highway Trust Fund is going broke, and members of Congress (including Sen. Corker) are scurrying to find new revenue (tax increases) to address the shortfall.

A few weeks ago, I took a friend, who was a stroke patient and on a walker, to Taylor Funeral Home for another friend’s visitation. As I was getting her out of the car, a man at the door came out with a wheelchair and took her inside.

Are there so many disabled people in the Chattanooga area that we need to be bombarded with law firm commercials on television everyday? The people they use in the commercials say, “I got my check!”

As another election cycle quickly approaches, I have a few requests...

The U.S. Constitution does not grant us rights; it protects our rights and limits the power of government.

The last sentence of the July 1 Times editorial, "When Faith Steps on Health," was an absolute hoot!
