Note: At the time of this writing, I have not read the 5 and 10. I actually showed up to work earlier than normal just to write all this. Enjoy.
I will say this much, it is a well known fact your Monday will be effected by how well your team did on Saturday. So let's get to the good part.
YES FURMAN! YOU MAY HAVE ANOTHER!
After "years" of lopsided victories by the Purple Paladins, the worm is finally beginning to turn. The Mocs were actually fun to watch especially give the "Young to Rice" tempo of Robinson and Huesman. The only sad part really was poor ESPN who had to make due with the fact less than 4,000 (Frieson stated, and I agree, it was MUCH less than that) were in attendance. I'm guessing Furman has no love in Greenville.
The only problem now is this Saturday is at home against Sanford but it falls on the same weekend as "The Third Weekend in October" (this year in Knoxville). Unfortunately, after Saturday's performance against Mississippi State, I fear that game is going the way of Texas-Oklahama (And yes, the OU crimson was out in full force down here on Sunday)
YES TENNESSEE! YOU MAY HAVE ANOTHER!
Note, if the game does have a noon kick-off, hopefully we'll have a good 10,000 in attendence for a three game win streak going into Georgia Southern.
Speaking of which....
Turns out the GSU website was carrying the Wofford game free of charge so I was able to catch the 2nd half of that upset. As I told Mamma Bear back home, it's almost anybody's game (Unless your Western Carolina) when it comes to top of the heap in the SoCon.
So how 'bout them Cowboys? Anyone? Buller? Buller? ::crickets chirping::
At least it was a close game as suppose to the "other Texas team" where Aaron Rogers was going YES WADE PHILLIPS, YOU AND YOUR DEFENSE MAY HAVE ANOTHER! I actually turned it off midway through the third quarter.
And Atlanta is now 6-0? O_O Now there's something I thought I'd never see in my lifetime.
Hopefully this will be an interesting roundtable today.
