The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Luecke of Akron, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gnaster of Detroit. Ms. Gnaster graduated from Notre Dame High School and received a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a design resource manager with Ulster Carpets in Marietta, Ga., and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McGowan of Rockdale, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Herreth of Bellville, Texas. Mr. Herreth graduated from Elkins High School in Missouri City. He is employed as a lead technician with Georgia Home Theater in Smyrna, Ga., and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Witt and Boyd

The engagement of Autumn Joy Witt and Samuel David Boyd is announced today. Ms. Witt is the daughter of Holly Witt Randolph of Germantown, Tenn., and Dr. Terry and Caryl Witt of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are John Earl and Sue Boyd of Dalton, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 9, at Fall Creek Falls State Park. The future bride is the granddaughter of James and JoAnn Witt of Owensboro, Ky. Ms. Witt graduated from St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She received a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. She is a copyright attorney with Harmon and Seidman. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John E. Planzer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyd. Mr. Boyd graduated from Dalton High School and received a bachelor’s degree in construction from Southern Polytechnic State University. He is senior project manager with Hutton Construction Inc.

Meredith Leigh Kmiec became the bride of John Michael Crawford on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Brainerd United Methodist Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dennie Humphreys, the Rev. Michael Feely and the Rev. Gloria Lightsey-Lewis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Russell Kmiec of Burke, Va. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Sherman Crawford of Chattanooga. Marsha Lynn Kmiec attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christie Bledsoe Baggett, Lesli Ann Brown, Rachel Elaine Clements, Lindsey Ann Costello, Emily Cox Croffut, Lara Michael Kay, Melissa Lynn McGuire and Jennie Anne Nies. The junior bride was Chloe Marcelle Reilly, and the flower girl was Lilly Grace Reilly. Max White Zarchin served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Lamar Foster, Dustin Franklin Lewis, Clifton Randolph Lowry, William Nathan Malone, Thomas Sterling Greene Mills, Michael Carl Quarles, Jeffrey Edward Stoneking and Cary Walters Tapscott. The ring bearer was Cavan James Reilly. A reception was held at the Sheraton Read House. The couple took a wedding trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands. They reside in Knoxville.

The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Radford Carlton Stewart III of Nashville. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Sara Saxon Moss attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Stewart Barnes, Melissa Suzanne Cattaneo, Beverly Hodgson Conley, Margaret Payne Davenport, Mary McGinness Estes, Kathryn Stewart Holliday, Marian McGowan Jones, Amanda Cornell Schwartz, Katherine Rowland Scroggins and Bracey Melissa Stewart. The flower girls were Jean Louise Knox Barnes, Virginia Bracey Barnes and Lillian Louise Holliday. Donald Hugh Bracey served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Robert McNeil Alden, Jonathan Eddy Barnes, Richard Hollomon Henry, Robert Douglas Holliday, Kennett Brown Parkes, Joshua Hunt Ritter, William Kyser Thompson and Wesley Sewell Williams. The ring bearer was Robert Douglas Holliday Jr. The reader was Heide Elizabeth Erb. A reception was held at the Baithouse Restaurant. The couple reside in Nashville.
