The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 20, at Christ United Methodist Church, where the future bride is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Hall of Ringgold, Ga. Ms. Bookout graduated from Girls Preparatory School. She is pursuing a degree at Lipscomb University. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Bergmann of Paris and Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Cotel of Chennegy, France. Mr. Bergmann received a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Supelec in Paris. He is employed by Schneider Electric in Nashville.

McCowan and Williams

The engagement of Kyeshia Sharmaine McCowan and Solomon Leborg Williams is announced today. Ms. McCowan is the daughter of Bonita McCowan of Spring City, Tenn., and Richard and Patricia McCowan of Park Forest, Ill. The future bride is the granddaughter of Robert and Mattie McCowan of Athens, Tenn., the late Aurthur T. Gillespie and Beulah Gillespie of Spring City. Ms. McCowan graduated from Rhea County High School and received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a loan counseling manager with AMO Recoveries Inc. and is a member of Overcoming Faith Christian Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Vernon and Willa Dean Williams, the Rev. Clifford Craven, the late Pauline Craven and the late Nathaniel Blair, all of Cleveland. Mr. Williams graduated from Cleveland High School and received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lee University. He is a driver recruiter with U.S. Xpress and is a member of Unity Christian Center.
