She is a member of Hixson First Baptist Church, and is a student at North Greenville University in Greenville, S.C.. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jim and Amy Sanders, the late Robert J. Sanderson Sr., Glen Womack and the late Dorothy Buntyn Womack. Mr. Sanderson graduated from Heritage Academy, and is a student at North Greenville University.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Central Michigan University. She is a teacher at Valley Point Middle School in Dalton. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Deed and Ruby Parrish, and the late Tom and Irene Roark. Mr. Roark is a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School. He is a member of Lookout Baptist Church in Chickamauga, and is employed as a help desk integration specialist by Shaw Industries.
