Miss Stagmaier is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor's degree in international business from the College of Charleston. She is employed in sales by the Susan Gage Co. in Oxin Hills, Md. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Yardley Minnix Manfuso and the late John A. Manfuso. Mr. Fuge is a graduate of The Episcopal School. He received a bachelor's degree in history from the College of Charleston. He is vice president of institutional sales with B.G.B. Securities Inc. in Ballston, Va.

The engagement of Tyler Clinton Thurston and William Andrew Arthur Jeffrey is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jerry and Emily Thurston. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She received a bachelor's degree in operational meteorology and is pursuing a master's degree in geosciences from Mississippi State University. She was presented in the 2003 Cotton Ball. She is employed with Hamilton County Schools. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Agnes Doody of Providence, R.I., and the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Prugh. Mr. Jeffrey is a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from UTK, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He is employed as a financial adviser by Northwestern Mutual.

She received a bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master's degree in clinic nutrition from the University of Memphis. She is a member of Immaculate Conception in Memphis and is a registered dietitian at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Stephen A. and Alice Hegedus and late Russell and Wilma Rafferty. Dr. Hegedus is a graduate of St. Clairsville High School. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and a doctor of medicine degree from Wright State University. He completed his residency at Ohio State University. He is a member of Immaculate Conception and is a hospitalist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
