Mr. and Mrs. Casey M. Stuart announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Ashley Stuart, to Brian Mario Ragghianti Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian M. Ragghianti of Memphis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 21, at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. Miss Stuart is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley A. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Matthew and the late Warren G. Stuart. The future bride is a graduate of Baylor School, and received a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Rhodes College, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She received a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a Certified Public Accountant with Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bud Rose and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Ragghianti. Mr. Ragghianti is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Christian Brothers University. He is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is an import planner with Komatsu, and is a member of St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church.

The engagement of Kelly Elizabeth Bacon and Matthew Chase Cox is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stuart P. Bacon of Dayton, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Cox of Westmoreland,Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 25, at West End United Methodist Church in Nashville, where the future bridegroom is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Henry Stuart Bacon, the late Mary Katherine Bacon and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Koontz. Miss Bacon is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Rice University and a law degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is an attorney with Mudter and Patterson, and is a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Dayton. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Juanita Beasley, the late Arthur Beasley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herlon Cox. Mr. Cox received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a a law degree from UTK. He is an attorney with Waddey and Patterson.

Carpenter and Holland

The engagement of Amanda Carpenter and James Holland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Debbie Carpenter. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dan and Lisa Holland of Daleville, Miss. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 6. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lee and Betty Vanoer, Gordon and Anita Harrower of Dunnsville, Va., David and Tina Carpenter of Keystone Heights, Fla, and the late Paul Lowe. Miss Carpenter received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bryan College. She is a receptionist at Lighthouse Counseling Center and is a member of City Church of Chattanooga. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jim and Joann McRae of Daleville and David and Barbara Holland of Hooper, Colo. Mr. Holland received a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies from Bryan College. He is a truss inspector at Clearspan Components Inc., and is a member of Daleville United Methodist Church.

The engagement of Kristen Ann Hambrick and James Roland McCoy Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Leila Hambrick of Jasper, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Norma McCoy and the late James Roland McCoy Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 28, at Kimball Baptist Church, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Farish and Faye Alexander, Patricia Hambrick and the late James Hambrick, all of Bridgeport, Ala. Miss Hambrick is a employed as a payer relations specialist by National Seating and Mobility. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Wallace and Gladys McCoy and the late James Dixie and Lena Adell Downer. Mr. McCoy is employed by Pigeon Mountain Industries in LaFayette, Ga.

She is an assistant buyer at The Cotton Mill Boutique and is a member of Cathedral of the Incarnation. The future bridegroom is the grandson of DeLys D. Robinson, the late James B. LeVan Jr., Kathryn M. Mattice and the late Harry S. Mattice. Mr. Mattice received bachelor’s degrees in finance and enterprise management with a collateral in international business from UTK. He is a client manager at Cigna Healthcare and is a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.

Miss Calhoun is a graduate of Science Hill High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from East Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and a master’s degree in business administration from Milligan College. She is a legislative correspondent in the office of Sen. Bob Corker and a member of National Community Church in Washington, D.C. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jack and Kay Arthur, Barbara Summar and the late Robert Summar. Mr. Goetz is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration. He is a legislative aide in the office of Sen. Bob Corker and is a member of National Community Church in Washington.

She is a hospital auditor with UnitedHealth Group. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oliver Johnson, Mrs. James Franklin Osteen Sr. of Nashville and the late Mr. Osteen. Mr. Osteen is a graduate of Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tenn. He is vice president and partner of Collateral Guaranty III in Nashville.

Fendley of Paducah, the late Norman L. Hely, and the late Dorothy L. Wade. Mr. Hely is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Vanderbilt University and a doctor of jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is an attorney in West Palm Beach, and is a member of the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea.

A reception was held in the Atlantic Ballroom at Hammock Beach Resort. After a honeymoon in the Virgin Islands, the couple resides in this city.

Elizabeth Carey Coffey and Laurel Anne Lang were flower girls. Carlos Enrique Ordonez served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Barton Decosimo, William Frederick Austin Decosimo, Nadeem Fouad Moughrabi, Joseph Lee Pendergrass and John G. Tate. Henry Santiago Ordonez and Samuel Massie Ordonez were ring bearers. Elijah Jack Crawford was the bell ringer. A reception was held at the IMAX Theater. After a wedding trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, the couple resides in this city.
