Thompson and Kent

The engagement of Margaret Lea Thompson and Christopher Scott Kent is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jim and Margaret Thompson. Parents of the future bridegroom are Steve and Suzanne Kent. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 15, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joseph W. Thatcher, the late Lucy Thatcher, and the late Dr. Paul C. and Frances Thompson. Miss Thompson is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a physical therapist at Orange Grove Center. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Morton J. and Martha Kent, the late Thomas S. Respess Jr. and Lucille Respess of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Kent is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a degree in graphic arts and imaging technology from Appalachian State University. He is employed as a manager at Chattanooga Fire Protection, and performs as DJ Scratchdent with the group ToneHarm.

Freeman and Campbell

The engagement of Cassey Elizabeth Freeman and Ryan Scott Campbell is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Dave and Sherry Freeman. Parents of the future bridegroom are Rusty and Dina Campbell. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 15, 2013, at The Grandview on Lookout Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Granville Freeman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Holder. Miss Freeman is a graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, and is pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is a teacher at Heritage High School and is a member of Bayside Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Campbell and Mrs. and Mrs. William Puskas. Mr. Campbell is a graduate of Boyd - Buchannon School. He is a member of Christ United Methodist Church and is employed by United Parcel Service.

Cutt and Hunt

Megan Cutt became the bride of Jansen Hunt in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Bluff View Inn. The Rev. Ted Gocke performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Peter and Kristy Cutt of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Lisa Hunt of Dalton, Ga. Chandler Cutt and Kaitlin Hunt served as the couple’s attendants. Jack Cutt was ring bearer. A reception was held at Bluff View Inn. After a wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple will reside in Ringgold.

Smith and Trimble

The engagement of Kathryn Murray Smith and Arch Edward Trimble IV is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Randolph Smith. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Arch Edward Trimble III. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 12, at Central Church of Christ, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Scott Murray of Bridgeport, Ala. Miss Smith is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was queen of the 2005 Cotton Ball. She is employed as a corporate sponsorship project manager by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Edward Trimble Jr. and Mrs. Lamar Edwards. Mr. Trimble is a graduate of Baylor School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed as a Congressional aide to U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischman.

Hasting and Buchanan

Kristie Burchell Hasting became the bride of Daniel Garett Buchanan in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 2, at Bentley Park in Cleveland, Tenn. The Rev. Clayton Burchell Sr. performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Becky Burchell of Whitwell, Tenn. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Peggy Buchanan. Becky Burchell was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Peggy Buchanan, Lauren Burchell and Makenzie Heiss. Mr. Buchanan served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Buchanan, Seth Hasting and Brandon Burchell. Seth Hasting was ring bearer. A reception was held in the Bentley Park clubhouse. A wedding trip is planned for spring. They reside in this city.

The engagement of Alanna Diann Raymond and Randall Douglas Rhodes is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Allen and Teresa Raymond. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tony Rhodes of Scottsboro, Ala., and Valorie King. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Signal Mountain United Methodist Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Anthony and Carolyn Kimbrell of Eupora, Miss., and Patsy and Buford Raymond of Sunflower, Miss. Miss Raymond received an associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Chattanooga State Community College, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She is a radiologic technologist at Erlanger. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ennis Rhodes and Ann Bowen, both of Jasper, Tenn., and Gerald and Carolyn King of Cleveland, Tenn. Mr. Rhodes received an associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Chattanooga State Community College and a bacheor’s degree in business administration from Bryan College. He is a cardiac cath lab radiologic technologist at Memorial Hospital and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

The engagement of Sydney Clare Woods and William Lawrence Bridenstine is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John and Janet Woods. Parents of the future bridegroom are John and Ann Bridenstine of Brentwood, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Friday, March 22, 2013, at The Church on Main. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Carolynn Mohney of Birmingham, Ala., and John and Joy Woods of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Miss Woods is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Auburn University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She received a master’s degree in speech language pathology from the University of Memphis. She is employed as a speech language pathologist by the Nashville Metropolitan School System, and is a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ila S. and Lawrence D. Molteni of Nashville, and Mary B. and Austin Bridenstine of Kileen, Texas. Mr. Bridenstine is a graduate of Father Ryan High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, entreprenuership and accounting from Auburn University. He is purchasing manager for Tennessee Filter Sales, and is a member of Cross Point Church in Nashville.
