Bispels and Dann

The engagement of Ludmilla Cristina Bispels and William Eugene Dann is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Nadia Levan and Mr. and Mrs. William C. Bispels Jr., all of Berks County, Pa. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Dann. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Dec. 30, in Lake Tahoe, Nev. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Crisolita Siqueira of Brazil, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Bispels Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. William Fornwalt, all of Berks County. Miss Bispels is a graduate of Exeter Township High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and design from Lehigh University. She is employed by Navy Federal Credit Union. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jean Hunt Graeber of Charlotte, N.C., the late Eugene Blake Graeber Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Dann. Mr. Dann is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He is a Navy F-18 pilot.

Daniel and Hoagland

The engagement of Carolyn Kelley Daniel and Ben Askew Hoagland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Paul “Lynn” and Carol Daniel. Parents of the future bridegroom are John and Alison Hoagland of Fayetteville, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Friday, Nov. 2, at Flintstone Baptist Church in Flintstone, Ga. The bride-elect is the grandaughter of Edna Daniel, the late Elmer Daniel and the late Wilbur and Nancy Huggins. Miss Daniel is a graduate of Chattanooga Christian School. She received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Covenant College and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is employed as an occupational therapist by Life Care Center of Hixson, and is a member of North Shore Fellowship. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Laurel Gabriel Hoagland, Rebecca Alexander and William and Carolyn Askew, all of Fayetteville. Mr. Hoagland is a graduate of Lincoln County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He is employed as an occupational therapist by Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital, and is a member of North Shore Fellowship.

Peter and Bowman

The engagement of Marie Sophia Peter and Roderick Gordon Bowman is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of the late Ingrid M. Peter. Parents of the future bridegroom are Lisborn Bowman and the late James Bowman Sr. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 27, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Otis Morris and the late Dorothy Howard. Miss Peter received a bachelor’s degree in biology from East Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She is employed as a placement specialist by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Robert and Rachel Gordan and the late Nathaniel and Mary Bowman. Mr. Bowman received a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Macon State College. He is employed as a consumer advisor by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

Emily Katherine Feldman became the bride of John Michael Barr in a ceremony on Saturday, Aug.11, in Centerburg, Ohio. The Rev. Matthew Heskett performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Ron and Dana Feldman. The bridegroom is the son of the late Emory and Virginia Barr. Laura Feldman Mishkin, sister of the bride, and Sherri VanBibber Thompson were the couple’s attendants. A reception was held in Centerburg. The couple resides in Carmel, Ind.

Sheorn and Dobesh

The engagement of Magdaline King Sheorn and Paul James Dobesh is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard B. Sheorn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Don Dobesh of Orlando, Fla. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Hunter Museum of American Art. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James R. Sheorn and the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Wilson. Miss Sheorn is a graduate of Baylor School and the University of Georgia. She was presented in the 1999 Cotton Ball. She is a medical sales representative for McKesson Corp., and a member of Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dobesh and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Werderitch. Mr. Dobesh received a bachelor’s degree in media production and a master’s degree in new communication technology from Florida State University. He was winner of the 2011 Fireball Run Challenge. He is director of operations for Turner Sports Interactive and is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando.

Lane Brown Park Mrs. Michael David Brooks Jr. Brooks - Brown Louise Lavens Brown became the bride of Michael David Brooks Jr. in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church. The Rev. Adam Ozimek and Dr. Harry Lawrence performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Brown Jr. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Brooks. Lane Park, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Grace Brooks, Meredith Brown, Merrill Lane Brown, Charlotte Beene and Laura Jones. Freddi Taylor was the flower girl. Mills Waterhouse served as best man. Groomsmen were Will Brown, Sullivan Brown, Fletcher Thompson, Tad Dixon, Ricky Johnson and Jarvis Davenport. Sig Brown was ring bearer. Brooks Montague and Henry Montague were banner bearers. A reception was held at Fairyland Club. After a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in this city.
