Engagement

Burke and Whitaker

The engagement of Chaffin Beverly Grace Burke and Chad Alan Whitaker is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Philip and Nekolia Burke. Parents of the future bridegroom are Timothy Whitaker and Carmen and Mike Fowler. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 20,  in the Ginny Power Garden at Manker Patten-Zan Guerry Clubhouse. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill Burke of Ringgold, Ga., the late Mary and Teddy White, and the late Howard and Beverly Swope. Miss Burke is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. She received a certificate in aesthetics from Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mary Cameron, the late Fred Cameron, Buddy and Linda Whitaker and the late Ann Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. He is employed by Volkswagen Group of America, and attends Silverdale Baptist Church.

Engagement

Maynor and Snyder

The engagement of Heather Dawn Maynor and Christopher Allen Snyder is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Sherry and Jackie Knox of Dayton, Tenn., and Mike and Debbie Maynor of Lebanon, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Becky and Marty Holbert and Wade and Kim Snyder. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 20, in Pikeville, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Pauline Maynor, James Thurman and Jack and Carolyn Knox, all of Dayton. Miss Maynor graduated from Rhea County High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a member of New Union Baptist Church, and is employed by Lowe’s. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jeane Kellogg, Ron and Carol Kellogg, David and Rae Snyder and George Edgemon. Mr. Snyder is a graduate of Central High School. He is a member of New Union Baptist Church, and is employed by Interior Trim and Supply.

Waddell and Mard

The engagement of Jaclyn Blair Waddell and Bradley Joseph Mard is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Tim and Brenda Waddell. Parents of the future bridegroom are Marianne Mard and Joseph B. Mard of Memphis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 18, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where both are members. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. William and Mary Waddell, the late Faye Waddell, June Tant and the late Jesse Tant. Miss Waddell is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor’s degree in government, cum laude, from Wofford College, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and homecoming queen. She is a retail recruiter at River City Co. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. W.C. Schadrack of Memphis, the late Mr. Schadrack and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mard. Mr. Mard is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is a sales consultant at Depuy Synthes.
