Powers and Hartline

The engagement of Amalia Mae Powers and Nicholas Quinn Hartline is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Rebecca Hamm of Morristown, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Powers of Rogersville, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Sheri and Morris Craft. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 22, at The Church on Main. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. John and Esther Hamm and the late Col. Marvin and Joyce Powers. Miss Powers received a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed by RTB Holdings, and attends First Lutheran Church. Mr. Hartline received a master’s degree in music from UTC. He a professor of clarinet at Southern Adventist University, Covenant College and Chattanooga State Community College. He attends First Lutheran Church.

Atkerson and McGlone

The engagement of Jameq’ua Yvonne Atkerson and Cortney LeJuan McGlone is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jacquelyn J. Atkerson and Richard E. Atkerson. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Maurice J. Martin. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 27, at Olivet Baptist Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edna C. Jennings and Henry F. Jennings, the late William C. Johnson Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Atkerson. Miss Atkerson is a graduate of Tyner High School. She received associate’s degrees in surgical technology and general science from Miller Motte Technical Community College and Chattanooga State Community College. She is a member of New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Beulah Martin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hardy. Mr. McGlone is a graduate of Tyner High School. He is employed by Volkswagen of Chattanooga and is a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Cowart and Fisher

The engagement of Angela Elizabeth Cowart and James Arthur Fisher is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Jim and Cathy Cowart. Parents of the future bridegroom are Jeff and Kathy Fisher. The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 27, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tennessee State University, where she was president of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She received a medical degree from Quillen School of Medicine at ETSU. She is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and is a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. The future bridegroom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from ETSU, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and a medical degree from Quillen School of Medicine. He is an anesthesiologist at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Md., and is a member of First Lutheran Church.

Thompson and Kile

The engagement of Jane Marie Thompson and Joshua Michael Kile is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mary Jane Thompson of Nashville and the late David A. Thompson. Parents of the future bridegroom are John W. and Shirley Kile. The wedding is planned for Friday, May 3, at Loveless Event Barn in Nashville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Batey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thompson. Miss Thompson is a graduate of Hillwood High School in Nashville. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Samford University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is a labor and delivery nurse in Nashville, and is a member of Brentwood Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roston Eddings Jr., Janet Kile of Ringgold, Ga., and the late William E. Kile. Mr. Kile is a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He is manager of international sales and marketing for Capital Christian Music Group in Brentwood, Tenn., and is a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
