Jasmine Lorraine Au became the bride of Tyler Joseph Howard in a ceremony on Friday, July 5, at the Reserve at Bluebird Hill in Lenoir City, Tenn. Andy Ogle was the officiant. The bride is the daughter of Kim and Harry “Brownie” Au Jr. Parents of the bridegroom are Verna and Christopher Howard of Knoxville. Lauren Snyder was maid of honor. Morgan Hastings and Hailey Bureau were bridesmaids. Daniel Cupp served as best man. Andrew Howard and Griffin Au were groomsmen. A reception was held in Lenoir City. After a wedding trip to Ocracoke Island, N.C., the couple resides in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Smith and Brown
The engagement of Cynthia L. Smith and Chris V. Brown is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of the late Clarence Walker Sr. and the late Mattie Walker. Parents of the future bridegroom are the late Booker T. Brown Sr. and Bernice Mosley Brown. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 17, at Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Ga. Miss Smith received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is employed as a controller and is a member of Love Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Brown received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is employed as a business analyst and is a member of Love Fellowship Baptist Church.
Killebrew and Ashe
The engagement of Amelia Anderson Killebrew and John Braxton Ashe is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frierson Killebrew. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Ashe of Sheffield, Ala. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, in Sewanee, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sterling Killebrew and the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen Mortimer Roberts Jr. Miss Killebrew is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School and the University of the South in Sewanee. She is employed in marketing and event planning and is a member of Crosspoint Church in Nashville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred J. Karpinski of Media, Pa., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ashe. Mr. Ashe is a graduate of McCallie School and of Hampden-Sydney College where he was a member of Chi Phi fraternity. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University. He is employed as an energy efficiency consultant and is a member of Austin Stone Church in Austin, Texas.
Henegar and Austin
The engagement of Caitlin Marie Henegar and Dylan Pierce Austin is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Vicki and David Henegar of Trenton, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Donna L. Pierce and the late Dana Austin of Sewanee, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 7, at Tennessee RiverPlace. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jo and David W. Henegar of Flat Rock, Ala., and Patricia France. Miss Henegar is a graduate of Baylor School. She received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a candidate for a Ph.D in bioengineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a bioengineering researcher at Georgia Tech. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Joyce and William Pierce of Greenville, S.C, and the late G.L. and Marie Austin. Mr. Austin is a graduate of Baylor School. He is an economics major at Birmingham Southern College, where he is a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is a sales associate for Toys R Us.
Kidd and Gray
Ashley Ann Panashy Kidd became the bride of Adam West Gray in a ceremony on Saturday, June 8, at Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. Dr. David Dockery performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Charles “Perk” and Debbie Kidd of Princeton, W. Va. Parents of the bridegroom are Butch and Donna Gray of West Bloomfield, Mich. Lauren Childress was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Delsandro, Jaime Bolyard, Ashleigh Davis, Jessica Cousineau and Sydney Cousineau. Abbie Kidd was the flower girl. Jonathan Gray served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Gray, Ross Chawansky, Chip Kidd and Shane Cousineau. Brooklyn Cousineau was ring bearer. A reception was held at Fairyland Club. After a wedding trip to the islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora, the couple resides in this city.
