Davis and Parrish

The engagement of Rachel Davis and Josh Parrish is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Danny and Jan Davis of Knoxville. Parents of the future bridegroom are Tony and Jennifer Parrish. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 14, at Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa, Tenn., where the future bride is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bob and Jane Davis of Columbus, Ga., and the late Vaughn and Rachel Simpson. Miss Davis received a bachelor’s degree and is pursuing a master’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is case manager at The Next Door in Chattanooga. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Rube and Charlsie Parrish and the late Joe and Betty Meredith. Mr. Parrish received a bachelor’s degree in business finance from UTC. He is a business services assistant at Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union and is a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Lynn and Harvey

The engagement of Laurie Markita Lynn and Steven Kell Harvey is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Lynn of Temple, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Harvey of Signal Mountain. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 31, 2014, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peggy Wicker Lynn Holden of Casselbury, Fla., the late Rev. Joe Lynn and the late Dewey and Sue Barton. Miss Lynn received a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Middle Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She is employed in pharmaceutical sales. The future bridegroom is the grandson of James “Skipper” Fairbanks, the late Carolyn Fairbanks and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Albert Harvey. Mr. Harvey received a bachelor’s degree in management from MTSU, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is employed in commercial roofing sales.

Costner and Bryson

The engagement of Alison Renea Costner and Jacob Allen Bryson is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Larry Costner. Parents of the future bridegroom are John Bryson of Apison and Leand Sharp of Rossville. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 14, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Whaley of Sevierville, Tenn., Virginia Atcher of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Christmas of Lewisburg, Ky. Miss Costner is a graduate of Red Bank High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in exceptional education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. She is an exceptional education teacher for Hamilton County Department of Education and is a member of Abba’s House. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Ken Baker of Gadsden, Ala., Alma Bryson and the late Rev. Junior Bryson. Mr. Bryson is a graduate of Hixson High School. He is employed by Amazon and is a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Massoud and Ricketson

Carolyn Thomas Massoud became the bride of Johnny Lee Ricketson in a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 29, at Heritage Landing clubhouse. The Rev. David Harr performed the ceremony.Members of the wedding party were Jami Massoud Hill, Mary Massoud Killett and Susan Massoud Farley, daughters of the bride, and Angela Ricketson Kruger and Patrick Ricketson, daughter and son of the bridegroom. A reception was held at Heritage Landing clubhouse. The couple resides at Watts Bar Lake in Rockwood, Tenn.

The engagement of Heather Rae Johnson and Rodney Darrell Skiles is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Johnson of Soddy-Daisy. Parents of the future bridegroom are Glen Stewart of Soddy-Daisy and Wilma Skiles of Hixson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Soddy-Daisy First Baptist Church, where both are members. Miss Johnson is a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School. She received a certified nursing assistant license from Chattanooga State Community College. She also received a medical assistant certificate from St. Augustine College. She is a nurse at Erlanger. The future bridegroom is a a graduate of Red Bank High School. He is a commercial truck driver for Allied Waste.

Caroline James Snow became the bride of Richard Brandon Coates in a ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at The Lindsey Plantation in Greenville, S.C. Stuart Fuller performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas James Snow Jr. of Signal Mountain. Parents of the bridegroom are Cynthia Beall Coates of Candler, N.C., and the late Claude Richard Coates. Elizabeth Snow Caldwell was matron of honor. Charity Elizabeth Turner was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Joanna Elizabeth Frazier, Rachel Smalley Henne, Stephanie Lynne Knott, Whitney Blocker Mashburn, Melissa Anne Nestor and Melissa Pierson Odorisio. Olivia Grace Caldwell and Finley Sara Snow were the flower girls. Gabriel David McKee served as best man. Groomsmen were John Robert Ackerman, William Edward Ackerman, William Grayson Beall, Timothy Michael Sease and Samuel Chester Snow. Hudson Samuel Snow was ringbearer. A reception was held in Lindsey Plantation barn. After a wedding trip to Kauai and Oahu, Hawaii, the couple resides in Greenville.

Ashley Rutledge became the bride of Jacob Patrick McKim in a ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. Jeff Pelletier performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Valerie Rutledge. Parents of the bridegroom are Rob and Amee McKim of Philadelphia, Pa. Kay Robinson was maid of honor. Brooke Bockelman, Jessica King, Matt Morrow and Marion Werner were the bride’s attendants. Valencia McKim, daughter of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. Jordan Neibarger served as best man. Groomsmen were Joe McKim, Josh McKim, Adrian Madland, Buddy Dowell and Kris Sunderli. A reception was held at Fairyland Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Portland, Ore. They reside in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Queen Sr., Martha M. Miller of Versailles, Ky., and the late MacKenzie Miller. Miss Queen received a bachelor’s degree in communications studies from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is a billing specialist at Colonial Life Insurance in Columbia, S.C., and attends First Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ballard of Spring Hill, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Byrd of Dallas. Mr. Ballard received a bachelor’s degree in political science from UTK, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is pursuing a law degree at the University of South Carolina and is a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Buffy Patten Layne of Chattanooga and Randy Holder of Watercolor Beach, Fla. Parents of the bridegroom are Eddie and Teresa Camp. Hillary Brock Bowman was matron honor. Bridesmaids were Tracey Chaney Scott, Tara Camp Coleman and Sarah Crews-Rogers. Meg Ledford, daughter of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Molly Scott and Payton Coleman were flower girls. Jeremy Miller served as best man. Groomsmen were Courtney Bowman, Wilton Holder and Brad Scott. Aron Miller was ringbearer. A reception was held at Stratton Hall. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides on Signal Mountain.
