Gross and Brackin
The engagement of Teresa Leanne Gross and James Kevin Brackin is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gross. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Roger Brackin of Hatton, Ala. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Little Brown Church on Signal Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Denson Broadfoot, Rosa Gross of Columbia, S.C., and the late Ernest Gross. Miss Gross is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University. She is a business planning specialist at TVA and is a member of First Presbyterian Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Berla Pace of Hatton, the late Junior Pace and Mr. and Mrs. James Brackin of Town Creek, Ala. Mr. Brackin is a graduate of Hatton High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsvile and is pursuing a master’s degree in industrial engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a project assurance specialist at TVA, and is a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Town Creek.
Knox and Kennedy
The engagement of Nellionna Lee Knox and Caleb Eron Kennedy is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Michael and Keily Knox. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dwight and Dee Kennedy of Bryant, Ala., and Kathy Kennedy. The wedding is planned for Sunday, July 14, at The Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Robertson of Ringgold, Ga., the late James Robertson and the late Chalmus and Nellie Knox. Miss Knox is a graduate of Calvary Christian School and is a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Derval and Ruth Kennedy and the late Charles and Leona Morrow. Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of North Sand Mountain High School. He is a U.S. Marine and is a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Summers and Jennings
Jennifer Michelle Summers became the bride of Daniel William Jennings in a ceremony on Saturday, March 23, at Lindsay Street Hall. The Rev. Charles Burton performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Summers III. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Jennings Jr. Ashley Folkner Sexton and Robin Koch Posey were the bride’s attendants. Groomsmen were Brad Jennings, Zach Jennings and Justin Jones. William Jennings was ring bearer. A reception was held at Lindsay Street Hall. The couple reside in this city.
