Keeton and Francis
The engagement of Ashley Jean Keeton and Dayton Lee Francis is announced today. The bride is the daughter of Tommy and Nancy Keeton of Knoxville. Parents of the future bridegroom are Chuck and Lynn Francis. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12, in Casey Key, Fla., at the home of Forrest “Papa” Minix.
Hostetler and Mohney
Honor Kingsley Hostetler became the bride of Richard Wesley Mohney in a ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. William Dudley performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Linda Peterson Hostetler and Charles Anderson Hostetler Jr. of Bowling Green, Ky. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wilson Mohney. Katherine Lin Ficken was maid of honor. Ellen Mohney Gray was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dorothy Inman Chapin, Erica Ann Lewis, Cathryn Page McGill, Emily Kathryn Pulliam, Grace Anne Reynolds and Kelly Stephenson Spencer. Sarah Eleanor Linquest was the junior bridesmaid. Mr. Mohney served his son as best man. Groomsmen were William Pryor Glascock III, Ryan Patrick Gray, Edward Thomas Peterson Hostetler, John McEwan Martin II, Kevney Dankier Moses, Charles Alexander Nation and James Dick Schwartz III. Jackson David Gray was ring bearer. A reception was held in Stratton Hall. The couple reside in this city.
Mainord and Dover
Stephanie Michelle Mainord became the bride of Matthew Lowell Dover in a ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at Gordon Lee Mansion in Chickamauga, Ga. Magistrate Chris Griffin performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Steven and Elena Mainord. Parents of the bridegroom are Timothy and Sherry Dover. Cristina Mainord was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Thompson, Mahala Volz, Danielle Reed and Katy Greever. Delaney Quarles, Macey Williams, Raylynne Bryson and Hana Kendrick were flower girls. Jonathan Griffith served as best man. Groomsmen were A.J. Dover, Chris Silcox, Joshua Hewitt and Brad Travis. Jacob Matherson, Brody Thompson, Kaleb Dover and Blake Burnette were ring bearers. A reception was held at Gordon Lee Mansion. After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Harrison.
Carpenter and Holland
Amanda Leigh Carpenter and James David Holland were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Falling Water Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Mark and Debbie Carpenter. The bridegroom is the son of Dan and Lisa Holland of Daleville, Miss. The Rev. Mike Chapman and the bride’s father performed the ceremony. The bride wore an empire, vintage gown of champagne satin overlaid in fine mesh lace and embellished with Swarovski crystals. The design featured cap sleeves, a high mandarin keyhole back and fishtail train edged in scalloped lace. Sarah Shearer served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Rice, Maribeth Futral, Jessica Finley, Brandy Puckett and Annalise Williams. The bridesmaids wore V-neck satin dresses, designed with pockets and embellished waistbands, each in a different fall shade. Each carried an autumn bouquet in colors coordinated to her gown’s color. John Holland acted as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Alan Brown, Stephen Bryan, Andrew D’Ablaing, Ben Andrews and Dustin Puckett. Christopher Rice escorted the bride’s mother and grandmother. A reception was held at a local retreat center incorporating mums and a fall decor to complement the surrounding mountains’ foliage. Tablescapes for the reception paired groupings of flowers in fall colors with family heirlooms provided by the grandparents of the bride and bridegroom. Portraits of three generations of wedding couples were displayed on the stone fireplace. The three-tier chocolate wedding cake was decorated with bronze scrollwork, edible pearl beading and a monogrammed H. Guests were served a buffet of French toast, quiche, fried potatoes and fresh apple cider as a way to celebrate the bride’s father-daughter Friday morning breakfasts together. The couple took a wedding trip to Mobile, Ala.
Phelps and Bethea
Chelsea Rebecca Phelps became the bride of Robert Hunter Bethea II in a ceremony on Saturday, July 6, at Flint Hill in Norcross, Ga. The Rev. Anne E. Hodges-Copple and the Rev. Robert Hartmans performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Dr. William and Judy Phelps of Avondale Estates, Ga. Parents of the bride groom are Richard and Mildred Bethea and the late Phyllis Bethea. Chelsea Lynch was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendall Schuyler, Kim Schnatz, Anne Kornegay, Kelly Norton and Shannon Moore. Mr. Bethea served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Dagher, Steve Kilgore, Taylor Phelps and Whit Stiles. A reception was held at Flint Hill. After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple resides in Washington, D.C.

Laura Katelyn Ireland became the bride of John Hutchins Collins in a ceremony on Saturday, June 8, at Sleepy Hollow Bed and Breakfast in Clemson, S.C. Dr. Jimmy Harley performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Bob Ireland, Ken Anthony and the late Valerie Anthony, all of Greer, S.C. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Lisa Collins of Columbia, S.C. Kim Kraft was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Schweig Hardt, Nastassja Moore and Georgia Coleman. Matt Couch served as best man. Groomsmen were David Stone, Brandon Emert and Robbie Hughes. Jack Coleman was ring bearer. A reception was held at Sleepy Hollow Bed and Breakfast. The couple took a wedding trip to the coast of North Carolina. They reside in Maysville, N.C.
Ellis and Golden
The engagement of Amanda Michelle Ellis and Samuel David Golden is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Keith and Charla Ellis of Dayton, Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Kenneth and Marcia Golden of Edwardsville, Ill. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 7. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charlie and Jimmie Rogers of Dayton, and Agnew and Barbara Ellis. Miss Ellis received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Samuel and Barbara Golden of Speedway, Ind., James and Ruth House of LaFayette, Ind., and the late Joanne House. Mr. Golden received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UTK. He is a financial planner for Boeing.
