Carroll and Taylor
The engagement of Laura Sibley Carroll and Jesse Carl Taylor II is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas Carroll Jr. Parents of the future bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Carl Taylor. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 21, at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, where the future bride is a member. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eugene Sibley Arrowood of Shelby, N.C., the late Nancy Keller Arrowood, Mrs. Jack Thomas Carroll of Jackson, Tenn., and the late Mr. Carroll. Miss Carroll is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree with a double major in business administration and human resources from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She is office manager at Home Comforts. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Edmund Bates and Anna Sue Taylor. Mr. Taylor is a graduate of McCallie School. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mississippi College, where he was a member of the basketball team. He is a member of Bayside Baptist Church.
Lawson and Pittman
The engagement of Emily Anah Lawson and Michael Owen Pittman is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Eddie and Debbie Lawson. Parents of the future bridegroom are Bill and Sue Pittman of Milan, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 26, at The Little Brown Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. R.A. Hoppe. Miss Lawson is a graduate of Red Bank High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a teacher at Normal Park Museum Magnet School, and is a member of Calvary Chapel Church. The future bridegroom is a graduate of Milan High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is operations manager at Scenic Industries and is club co-director of Choo Choo City Volleyball of Chattanooga. He is a member of Calvary Chapel Church.
Wahlne and Bland
The engagement of Sabrina Wahlne and Allen Bland is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Lennart and Beverly Wahlne of Cleveland, Tenn. The future bride groom is the son of Kimberly Bland of Thomasville, Ga. The wedding is planned for Sunday, Oct. 20, at Girl Scouts of America headquarters in San Diego. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lorraine Hudgins Olson of Hendersonvillle, N.C., the late Franklin Hudgins and the late Gunnar and Ingrid Wahlne. Miss Wahlne received a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from LaSierra University. The future bridegrom is the grandson of Louise Bland of Madison, Fla, the late Ed Bland and Allen and Myrtice Webb of Hamilton, Fla. Mr. Bland received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering while serving in the U.S. Navy. He is pursuing a degree in criminal justice at the University of Phoenix.
Reynolds and Kehoe
Kailan Catherine Reynolds became the bride of Mason Russell Kehoe in a ceremony on Saturday, May 25, at Stratton Hall. The Rev. Doug Werth performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Phillip and Erin Reynolds. Parents of the bridegroom are Gayle and Sam Kehoe of Manchester, Tenn. Brienne Reynolds, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jade Ferguson, Kayley Young, Elizabeth Dmochowski, Chelsea Edmondson, Marianne Secrest and Sarah Orr. Sydney Shelton was the flower girl. Miles Kehoe served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Kellin Kierce, Trevor Soderholm, Jeremy Jernigan, Travis Cook, Michael Bowen and Bradley Drake. Ushers were Matt Reynolds and Brandon Robertson. A reception was held at Stratton Hall. After a wedding trip to New Orleans, the couple resides in this city.
