Felton and Lopez

The engagement of Erin Brittany Felton and Abel Lopez III is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Glenn and Janet Felton. Parents of the future bridegroom are Abel Lopez Jr. and Maria Graciela Rodriguez Lopez of Irving, Texas. The wedding is planned for Saturday, August 30, in Austin, Texas. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Betty Ruth Blessing, Blanche Felton of Bayside, N.Y., and the late Phillip Felton. Miss Felton is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Rice University in Houston, where she is pursuing her master’s degree. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Abel Lopez Sr. and Marina Garcia Lopez of San Diego, Texas, Frank Rodriguez and Concepcion Martinez Rodriguez of Kingsville, Texas. Mr. Lopez received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a quality engineer.

Bevering and Rorex

Cori Ruth Bevering became the bride of Lance Payne Rorex in a ceremony on Saturday, June 7, at The Barn at Drewia Hill in Sale Creek. The Rev. Fred Doss performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Bart and Karen Bevering. Parents of the bridegroom are Leston and Kathy Rorex. Katy Potts was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ellen Nix, Gracie Ratledge, Natalie Lester and April Hammonds. Gracie Johnson was the flower girl. Mr. Rorex served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Corey Rorex, Wes Gossett, Matthew Rorex and Jordan Winchester. Ushers were Luke Smith and Cody Hooper. Maddox Hammonds was ring bearer. A reception was held at The Barn at Drewia Hill. After a Caribbean cruise, the couple resides in this city.
