Engagement

Taylor and Jordan

The engagement of Kera Danese Taylor and Sean Gregory Jordan is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Taylor. Parents of the future bridegroom are Cassandra Webb Jordan of Nashville and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jordan of Woodbridge, Va. A summer wedding is planned at Laurelwood on Signal Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Huggins of Birmingham, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Taylor Sr. Miss Taylor is a graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School. She received a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology, summa cum laude, and a master’s degree in speech and hearing science, cum laude, from Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She is a speech-language pathologist in Annandale, Va., and is a member of New United Missionary Baptist Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Frances Webb of Nashville, the late James Oscar Webb Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Jordon. Mr. Jordan is a graduate of Oconee County High School in Watkinsville, Ga. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tennessee State University, where he was a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He is a contracting specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service, and is a member of True Light Ministry in Woodbridge.

Hill and Nerswick

The engagement of Abigail Grace Hill and Nathan Nerswick is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Thomas Kelly and Renee Hill of Ringgold, Ga. Parents of the future bridegroom are Dr. John and Amy Nerswick of Cincinnati, Ohio. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 2, at Rock Spring United Methodist Church. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marion and Jack Lomenick of Flintstone, Ga. Miss Hill received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. She is a sports journalist. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Frances Nerswick of Cincinnati. Mr. Nerswick received a bachelor’s degree in sculpture from the University of Georgia. He manages coffee operations at Empire State South in Atlanta.

Iglus and Brown

The engagement of Ranece Danielle Iglus and Anthony Jermome Brown Jr. is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Randolph Iglus and Deidra Iglus of Memphis. Tenn. Parents of the future bridegroom are Anthony Brown Sr. and Deborah Wilson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 30, at Bethel A.M.E. Church in West Memphis. The future bride is the granddaughter of Laverne Nelson of Memphis and the late Leon Nelson. Miss Iglus received a bachelor’s degree in human resources management and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She is a tech specialist at UTC, and is a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Willie J. Brown. Mr. Brown received an associate’s degree in business from Chattanooga State Community College and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a coach at T-Mobile and is a member of Shepard Church of Christ.

The engagement of Margaret Palfrey Welborn and Grayson Todd Lowery is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Miller Welborn of Lookout Mountain. Parents of the future bridegroom are the Rev. and Mrs. Todd Allen Lowery of Zachary, La. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 9, at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where the bride-elect is a member. The future bride is the granddaughter of Irene Jewell Welborn of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar David Chunn of Guntersville, Ala. Miss Welborn is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Gloria Medici Lowery of Perry, Ga. Mr. Lowery received bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and in history. He is employed by Broad River Furniture in Charlotte, N.C., and is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens, Ga.
