Chattanooga Housing Authority sells Grove Street Center

The Chattanooga Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the sell of the Grove Street Center today for $360,000.

The center was sold to David Collins, of Countrywide Consultants, which has an office located on Lee Highway.

Board members convened through a specially called teleconference to expedite the sale, which allows the housing authority to have about $58,000 available to it at the center’s closing.

The closing was scheduled for immediately after the teleconference.

Housing officials said Mr. Collins is expected to put a grocery store in the center’s building.
