Chattanooga: Union Gospel Mission finds new space

The Union Gospel Mission has left its temporary space at The Salvation Army and the homeless ministry now is located at the old Senter School at 1512 S. Holtzclaw Ave.

“The former Senter School is a great location near I-24 and close to other homeless service providers such as the Community Kitchen and The Salvation Army,” Jon Rector, the mission’s executive director, said in a news release distributed this afternoon.

The Union Gospel Mission’s old Main Street property was purchased by the RiverCity Co. and the mission had to move out by June 1. The site is expected to be redeveloped.
