Chattanooga: Judge dismisses Comcast lawsuit

Hamilton County Chancellor Frank Brown this afternoon dismissed Comcast’s lawsuit against EPB’s fiber to the home plan.

It was not immediately clear whether Comcast intends to file an appeal.

Last month, a Davidson County chancellor threw out a similar lawsuit by the Tennessee Cable Telecommunications Association.

EPB plans to start offering Internet, cable and telephone service in limited areas starting in early 2009, and expanding throughout its service area in a five-year period.
