REUNION
THE SODDY-DAISY High School Class of 1958 celebrated their 50th high school reunion recently at The Chattanoogan. Nearly 90 classmates and their guests attended, said event spokesman Paul Beene. It was the first time the class held a reunion since 1988.
Entertainment was provided by class member Carlos Wilson and The Tennessee Hi-Riders.
“During the dinner program, the class participants agreed that they will begin donating to a scholarship fund for Soddy-Daisy High School graduates in lieu of sending flowers to the families in memory of deceased classmates,” Mr. Beene said.
Among those attending were reunion committee members Bruce Harvey, class president; Sis Daughtrey Davis, class secretary; Joy Weeks Beene, treasurer, and Bobbie Skillern Springfield, vice president. HEARD ON THE TOWN
