Former Chattanoogan swims the English Channel

Former Chattanoogan Karah Nazor completed her long-planned swim of the English Channel Sunday.

Her mother, Karen Nazor Hill, and stepfather, Hank Hill, were among those on hand upon completion of the swim.

Ms. Nazor is a swimming enthusiast who swam for the East Ridge Youth Foundation, Greater Chattanooga Aquatic Club, Scenic City Aquatic Club, University of Miami and James Madison University. She also recently won the first 3.5-mile Swim Around the Rock held in San Francisco Bay.

She is a post-doctorate scholar at the University of California San Francisco.
