Evensville man charged in Dayton death

DAYTON, Tenn. — An Evensville man has been charged in connection with the death of a Dayton man early this morning, authorities said.

William Thomas Minton, 40, faces a charge of criminal homicide, officials said.

Dayton Police Chief Chris Sneed said the body of Carlos Mcuiston, 46, was found by a nephew around 2:30 a.m. at 632 Memorial Ave. in Dayton.

Rhea County dispatchers said police responded to the call this morning after receiving reports of a robbery and beating. He said investigators are still piecing together the investigation.

“I hope to have more later,” he said.
