New principals named for Sale Creek, Red Bank Middle

Superintendent Jim Scales this morning announced two new principal assignments at Sale Creek Middle-High and Red Bank Middle schools.

Robin Copp now is the assistant principal at Sale Creek and will move up to principal, replacing Jeff Chastain, who is retiring.

Kathryn O’Brien is an assistant principal at Red Bank and will replace her principal Robert Alford, who recently was named head of Hunter Middle School.

Both appointments take effect July 1.

“Ms. Copp and Ms. O’Brien exhibit all the qualities I look for in a strong principal,” Dr. Scales said in a news release. “They have forged strong relationships with their school communities, faculties and parents and I know they will continue to work hard to improve student achievement.”
