Chattanooga: Toddler critical, grandmother charged
A 23-month-old was taken to Erlanger hospital where he is in critical condition after being run over by a car Saturday afternoon, according to Sgt. Jerri Weary of the Chattanooga Police Department.
The child and his mother had just gotten out of an automobile at 2016 Emma Kate Drive about 6 p.m. when the incident occurred, the sergeant said.
Mother and child were walking toward their home while the child’s grandmother parked the car, Sgt. Weary said.
When the grandmother pulled forward, she struck and ran over her grandson, the sergeant said.
The child suffered head and internal injuries, she said.
Traffic investigators charged the grandmother for driving on a suspended license and other charges are pending, Sgt. Wear

My question is, was the grandmother in a private driveway or lot?, if so the police have no jurisdiction. Because of it being private property.
You don't have to be F. Lee Bailey to defend against these charges.
