Chattanooga: Tree traps woman inside home

A woman was trapped inside her home when high winds toppled a tree about 7 p.m. Saturday, causing it to fall onto a house at 2102 Mae Dell Road, according to Chattanooga Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

The woman was uninjured and first responders were able to safely remove from the back of the rental house, but the building is now uninhabitable due to structural damage, the sergeant said.

The victim will stay with relatives living nearby, she said.
