Chamber events

Chamber Radio: Trevor Hamilton, The Chamber’s vice president for economic development, will discuss the local economy at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday on WSMC 90.5 FM with station manager David Brooks.

Ambassadors: The Ambassadors will meet Tuesday at The Chattanoogan, 1201 S. Broad St. from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

East Ridge Chamber: The Chamber will meet at noon Tuesday at the East Ridge Community Center, 1517 Tombras Ave. The cost of lunch is $10.

Eastgate/Ridgeside Chamber: The Chamber will meet at noon Wednesday at the Eastgate Town Center, 5600 Brainerd Road. State Sen. Andy Berke, D-Chattanooga, will be the speaker. The cost of lunch is $10.

Soddy-Daisy/North Hamilton County Chamber: The Chamber will meet at noon Thursday at the Soddy-Daisy City Hall, 9835 Dayton Pike. The speaker will be Tricia Hall, the southeast regional project manager for the Tennessee Land Trust. The cost of lunch is $10.

Seminars, meetings

Business Building Blocks: The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar titled “Developing Winning Business Plans” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chamber Board Room. Senior Care: A Chattanooga Senior Care meeting for anyone who markets to or does business with seniors is planned for Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Morning Pointe at Greenbriar Cove Assisted Living, 9650 Leyland Drive, Collegedale.

Business Planning: A basic business planning seminar is scheduled for Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tennnesee Small Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. The seminar will cover final projections and legal entity as well as business licenses, taxes and other start-up information. Lunch and Learn: The Chamber announces a workshop titled “Developing an Age-Positive Work Environment through Understanding Intergenerational Differences” to be held Thursday at Chattanooga State from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. participants will learn how to connect with the staff and co-workers and identify each generations core work values, ethics and communication preferences. Business After Hours: Pump It Up, 7443 Commons Blvd., will host a networking event Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Business Planning: Free counseling for business people available from the Chattanooga Small Development Center, Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd., Suite 202. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.

Fraud Seminar: The Chattanooga Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Chattanooga Bar Association will host a seminar titled “What is the truth?” on Monday, May 20 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The instructor will be Don Rabon, former deputy director of the North Carolina Justice Academy. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Curtis L. Collier will be the luncheon speaker.
