Hamilton County Commission votes to demand documents from WWTA

Hamilton County commissioners voted 7-1 Wednesday to demand that the county’s Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority provide attorney John Anderson’s legal bills.

County Commissioner Curtis Adams requested the bills on behalf of an East Ridge citizens group. Mr. Anderson is the attorney for the authority and the city of East Ridge.

According to the resolution, the authority has 10 days to turn over the documents before the county attorney is to file a lawsuit in Chancery Court to obtain them.

County Mayor Claude Ramsey said the authority is working to obtain the documents.
