HGTV’s Vern Yip will highlight the 2009 Fall Home and Decor Show.
The show will be Oct. 2-4 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Mr. Yip hosts “Deserving Design” and has been a judge on “Design Star.”
The show is the first fall show by the Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee. The organization has held a spring show for 43 years. That show will continue.
This year’s fall show will focus on home decor and green living. The show will highlight paintings, flower arrangements, furniture and home accessories.
Green products include flooring (bamboo and cork), recycled carpet, cabinets and solar panels.
Area homes open for display
More than 100 area homes will be on display next weekend in the Open House Parade of Homes.
The homes will be open from Friday to Sunday during the event, which is presented by the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
A special tab insert in the Friday edition, as well as open house directories Saturday and Sunday, will describe the homes.
Both new and existing homes will be featured by builders and homeowners who use a real estate agent.
