Nancy E. Poston, a consultant in health care revenue growth, marketing and public relations strategies, has become a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
She has been an executive in health care marketing since 1988.
"Because healthcare management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it is critically important to have a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization," said Thomas A. Dolan, president and chief executive officer of ACHE. The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of more than 30,000 executives.
Parkridge names Carroll, Royer
Parkridge Medical Center Inc. has named Rebecca Carroll a surgical sales specialist and promoted Adam Royer to executive director of surgical and ambulatory surgery center services for the Chattanooga market.
Ms. Carroll will work with Chattanooga surgeons who practice at Parkridge facilities. Mr. Royer is responsible for the oversight of surgical services in the medical surgical facilities at Parkridge Medical Center and Parkridge East Hospital. He also serves in a business development role for two HCA Ambulatory Services Division locations at the Atrium Surgery Center on Gunbarrel Road and Chattanooga Surgery Center on North Holtzclaw Avenue.
She is a graduate of Covenant College and has a master's degree in health care administration from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Mr. Royer began his career as a registered nurse in Chattanooga 18 years ago and has been a manager and service line director at Parkridge since 2001.
His B.S. degree in nursing is from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He also has a master's in health care administration from the University of St. Francis.
Parkridge Medical Center is a multi-campus facility that includes Parkridge Medical Center, Parkridge East Hospital and Parkridge Valley.
Nalani Haruo honored by Life Care
Nalani Haruo, executive secretary to Life Care Centers of America executive Dee McCarthy, has been named Secretary of the Year.

Quatrano joins Convention Center
Keith Quatrano has become executive chef at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and comes to Chattanooga from the Intercontinental Hotel at the Plaza in Kansas City where he was food and beverage director.
"We're very excited to welcome Keith to Chattanooga and to the Convention Center team," said Tim Riddle, executive director of the Convention Center. "He brings many years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including working at four- and five-star hotels and resorts."
Mr. Quatrano and his wife, Lisa, live in Ooltewah with their 14-year-old son John and 11-year-old son Michael.
Yessick's announces designer affiliation
Yessick's Design Center of Chattanooga has announced its new affiliation with interior designer Amy S. Christie.
She has more than a decade of regional and international experience, and has received a number of awards.
Morning Pointe promotes Dickard
Derek Dickard has been promoted to executive director of Morning Pointe of Calhoun, Ga.
The three-year Morning Pointe employee will oversee all operations of the 61-unit assisted living community at 660 Jolly Road NW.
The operations include The Lantern, a state-of-the-art Alzheimer's memory care center.
Mr. Dickard is a graduate of Southern Adventist University. He and his wife, Meghan, live in Calhoun.
Independent Healthcare Properties LLC founded Morning Pointe. Greg Vital and Franklin Farrow formed Independent Healthcare in 1996.
Honda of Cleveland wins award
Honda of Cleveland has won the Honda President's Award for the seventh time.
The honor measures outstanding performance and is given to the top 15 percent of dealerships that show excellence in operations, a news release stated.
"Although it is an honor we strive to achieve each and every year, our customers realize our efforts each and every day through our knowledge and professionalism," said David Hickman, general manager of the dealership in Cleveland, Tenn.
