Ann M. Aiken and Lavens Brown, both with AMA Architects LLC, have passed the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for new construction exam.
The two are LEED accredited professionals, allowing them to provide LEED certification services to their new construction and renovation projects.
The U.S. Green Building Council sponsors LEED, which is an internationally recognized green building certification system.
AMA Architects provides a complete range of services for architectural and interior design solutions for residential clients.
Dr. Perry joins allergy clinic
Dr. Lee Perry has joined the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, according to Drs. Marc Cromie, Hyman Kaplan and Todd Levin.
Dr. Perry is a pediatric and adult allergist licensed to practice in Tennessee and Georgia.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2007. He also completed his fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy and immunology at the Medical College of Georgia, and is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
He and his wife, Leanne, and their children, Ryan, Andrew and Vivi Claire, live in Chattanooga.
Business Park sets celebration
The Fletcher-Rhodes Business Park will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, beginning at 9:15 a.m. at 5165 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road.
The business park offers new office and warehouse space available for lease in 1,500-square-foot or 3,000-square-foot units.
"This complex is located on busy Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, giving each unit prime exposure for small business owners," says developer/owner Jimmy Rhodes.
He owns Rhodes Climate Controlled Stores in Ooltewah, Cleveland, Charleston, Athens and Spring City. He also recently developed and opened a second office warehouse complex owned by Jimmy Rhodes Sr. in north Cleveland near the site of the planned $1 billion Wacker plant.
Mr. Rhodes is a graduate of Southern Adventist University.
Traci Kozloski becomes CEO
Traci Kozloski has been named chief executive officer of Evergreen Consulting Inc., a financial services company in Chattanooga.
She succeeds James A. Cheney, who will continue as chairman.
She joined Evergreen nearly 20 years ago from the banking industry and nine years ago became a principal and the chief operating officer. She has focused primarily on providing estate and executive benefit planning, implementation and service to Evergreen's national clientele, a news release stated.
Evergreen is a member firm of M Financial Group, a financial services design and distribution company.
Three earn their LEED certification
Steve Billingsley, Brett Aalfs and Angela Russ of Billingsley/Architecture recently earned their LEED AP certification, according to a news release.
LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system that was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
This certification enables them to assist clients in obtaining LEED certification for their projects, if desired, the release stated.
Billingsley/Architecture is a Chattanooga-based architectural firm. It offers architectural and interior services in the commercial and custom residential sectors.
McKenzie opening medical practice
Dr. Mark M. McKenzie has announced his opening of his practice, The McKenzie Center for Internal Medicine, in Chattanooga. The practice is in suite 105 at 6031 Shallowford Road.
Dr. McKenzie is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale and the University of Toledo/Medical College of Ohio.
He has been a practicing internal medicine specialist in Cleveland, Tenn., since 2002, with hospital privileges at SkyRidge Medical Center.
He and his wife have four children and live in Ooltewah.
Allergy office opens in Fort Oglethorpe
Chattanooga Allergy Clinic earlier this summer celebrated its opening of a new office at 101 Crye-Leike Drive in Fort Oglethorpe.
The clinic has offices in Chattanooga, Cleveland and Hixson as well.
Davis heads construction group
Michael M. Davis, general contractor wtih DBS Corp. in Chattanooga, has become president of the Construction Specifications Institute.
CSI is a national association that helps create standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery, a news release stated. Its members include architects, engineers, contractors and building materials suppliers. It has almost 14,000 members and 146 chapters.
Mr. Davis joined CSI in 1993 as a member of its Chattanooga chapter and has served the organization as Gulf States region director and treasurer.
He was the recipient of the Robert P. Brosseau Memorial Award in 2003 for his service to further the mission and programs of CSI.
He has earned his construction documents technologist certificate in 2000 and in 2004 was advanced to fellowship in CSI.
Leitner joins Mediation Services
Attorney Paul R. Leitner has affiliated with Arbitration and Mediation Services Inc. in the area of general civil.
Mr. Leitner is a senior member of the law firm of Leitner, Wiliams, Dooley and Napolitan PLLC.
He is also a founding fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Association.
His areas of practice include business and employment litigation, hospital and nursing home liability, medical malpractice and drug, medical device and product liability.
Arbitration and Mediation Services is at 1810 McCallie Ave.
Products earn certification
Champion Window, Door and Patio Room Co. has announced it has earned Green Seal certification for its window, door and patio room products.
A news release stated the certification identifies products that are designed and manufactured in an environmentally responsible manner.
"Champion is proud that our products not only save customers money, but are also manufactured in an environmentally friendly way," said Don Jones, Champion president and COO. "The Green Seal certification is evidence of our hard work and demonstrates that we want the best for the homeowners who use our products and services."
Champion, begun in 1953, builds and installs vinyl replacement windows, entry doors, patio rooms and siding. The company has factories in Cincinnati and Denver.
