Built in 1926, Delta Queen is a National Historic Landmark. The boat, the last traditional river steamboat, left its winter home in New Orleans several days ago and has churned through the Gulf of Mexico, into Mobile Bay and up the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway before reaching the Tennessee River. Once permanently docked in Chattanooga, it will be turned into a hotel, owners say.
