Concerts to continue at state park

PIKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Fall Creek Falls State Park's summer concert series continues every weekend until Sept. 6, state park officials said in a release.

"The Fall Creek Falls summer concert series is a great opportunity for families to celebrate summer, and is just another example of what Tennessee state parks have to offer," said Park Manager Jim Hall. "In addition to the summer concerts, Fall Creek Falls offers many unique recreation opportunities and high-quality accommodations."

The snack bar will be open until 9 p.m., serving pizza, hot dogs, 20 different flavors of hand-dipped ice cream and a variety of snacks.

There is no charge for admission, but a suggested "admission donation" is $3 for ages 7 to adult.

Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. CDT and last about two hours. In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the Recreation Hall.
