Offices closing Friday for holiday

Chattanooga city and Hamilton County offices will be closed Friday in observance of Saturday’s July 4 holiday. City and county offices will reopen Monday.

However, there will be garbage pickup on Friday, city officials said.

There will be mail delivery on Friday, but most U.S. Postal Services offices will close at noon. There will be no regular mail delivery on Saturday.

Regular mail delivery will resume Monday.

Tennessee and Georgia state offices also will be closed Friday.

Georgia Department of Driver Services’ licensing and testing centers will be closed Saturday. Driver’s License Customer Service Centers statewide are closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday.
