In this July 6, 2002 file photo, U.S. tennis players Serena, right, and Venus Williams hold their trophies after the Women's Singles final on the Centre Court at Wimbledon. The names and faces at the top of women's tennis keep changing, yet this stays the same: Venus and Serena Williams are the players to beat at Wimbledon. Venus, in particular: She's won five titles, including the last two, at the grass-court major championship, which begins Monday, June 22, 2009.

WIMBLEDON, England — Serena Williams has won her third Wimbledon title, beating sister Venus Williams 7-6 (3), 6-2 in the final.

The second-seeded Serena also beat Venus in the 2002 and '03 Wimbledon finals, but lost to her older sibling in last year's championship match at the All England Club.

Serena improved to 6-2 against Venus in Grand Slam finals on Saturday, and has won 11 major titles in her career.
