Chattanooga Community Kitchen’s new homeless center has been open for three weeks, but today was the first chance for the public to be introduced.
The new facility provides a one-stop service area for Chattanooga’s homeless community, offering case management, access to mainstream resources, foot care, chapel/meditation space, laundry, telephones, mail services and more to the area’s homeless.
The city is proud to be a small part of what the community has done,” said Mayor Ron Littlefield during the official presentation. “This is just the beginning. We are going to take care of those in need and love and care for our neighbors.”
