CALHOUN, Ga. — Da’Rick Rogers and Nash Nance have been best friends for years. After this year at Calhoun High School, they will be Southeastern Conference Eastern Division rivals. Rogers has committed to Georgia, Nance to Vanderbilt.

Rogers, a consensus four-star, top-10 receiver in the nation by scouting services, and his Calhoun teammate, three-star pro-style quarterback Nance, are set to announce their collegiate plans at a news conference today at the high school.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Rogers had more than 30 scholarship offers, including from Florida, Alabama, LSU, Florida State and Southern California. He is ranked the 22nd best prospect in the country by Rivals.com and has been timed consistently in the 4.4-second range in the 40-yard dash. He becomes the fifth commitment for the Bulldogs, who also have one from Dalton High School defensive end Jalen Fields.

Nance (6-4, 208) chose Vanderbilt over offers from Mississippi State, Harvard, West Virginia and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Calhoun resident played his first three high school years in Rome at the Darlington School, where Rogers prepped as a freshman and sophomore.
