Coast to coast cleanliness

I have no qualms about admitting I’m an avid “Coast to Coast A.M.” listener. Many nights between the hours of 1 and 5 a.m., I have my ear phones on and am plugged in to the voice of George Noory and Ian Punnett talking about ghosts, UFOs and various conspiracy theories.

On occasion, though, the hosts venture into topics important to our health. It’s at “Coast to Coast” where I learned about the benefits of getting turmeric into my diet.

Recently, though, the topic de soir was about food safety, and a mention was made about using the antibacterial wipes that most grocery stores are now offering.

I use them religiously and wonder why many do not. In fact, I was in the Bi-Lo entrance one day when two women walked in. As I was helping myself to an antibacterial wipe and proceeding to wipe down the handle of my cart, I offered a fresh wipe to the women. They looked at me like I had lost my mind.

What does it take for people to realize how germs are spread? I’m not a germ freak by any stretch of the imagination, but when stores make prevention so simple, why not take advantage?
