A local version of ABC's hit show "Dancing With the Stars" has proven just as popular as its television counterpart. Saturday night's dance competition to benefit Partnership for Families, Children and Adults has sold out the 300-seat Loose Cannon Gallery.

However, it's not too late to support your favorite dancer, says Holly Ashley, development officer with the Partnership.

Until 5 p.m. today, you can log onto dancingwiththestarschattanooga.com and vote for any of the six local competitors for the Fan Favorite Award. Each vote is a $1 donation to the social services agency.

"Since we are sold out, it's been a fun way for some of the dancers' friends and family to be involved even though they aren't coming to the event," said Ashley.

Both the fan favorite and the winning dance couple will receive a mirrored glitter ball trophy like the TV champs take home.

Judging Saturday's dance competition will be Joni Murray, Kim Carson, Rachel Oesch, City Councilman Manny Rico and Fred Astaire studio owner Nancy Dix.

While the judges' scores are tabulated, guests will be treated to an exhibition by Elena Grinenko and Tony Dovolani. Dovolani and partner Melissa Rycroft came in third in the most recent season of "DWTS." Grinenko was partnered with Clyde Drexler in Season 4.
