Delta Air Lines is ending nonstop service between Chattanooga and Cincinnati on Tuesday.

The move is among a number of shifts the Atlanta-based airline is making involving Delta Connection service at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, said Lovell Field spokeswoman Christina Siebold.

The company has already cut nonstop flights between Chattanooga and Memphis to just one roundtrip a day, she said.

But, the carrier has added more Delta Connection service between Chattanooga and Atlanta, Ms. Siebold said.

She said the airline is offering up to 10 flights a day between Chattanooga and Atlanta, depending on the day. Travelers wanting to fly to Cincinnati may go to Atlanta and then take a nonstop to that Midwest city.

Ms. Siebold said Delta is reallocating its air service so that airports in its network will have access to two hubs following its merger with Northwest Airlines. For Chattanooga, those hubs are Atlanta and Memphis, she said.
