Hamilton County: Deputies hunt for missing teen

  • photo

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help from the public in locating a missing teen.

On March 1, Amanda Markham, 16, was reported missing from her residence at 6031 Morning Glory Drive. The residence was checked by deputies and, while the teen was not there, nothing else was found to be suspicious, said Janice Atkinson, sheriff’s spokeswoman.

Information given to detectives is that Amanda could either be in the Chattanooga or North Georgia area, Ms. Atkinson said.

Amanda was also reported missing by her parents in September but was later located, according to newspaper archives.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the teen should call the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 423-622-0022.
