United Way honors supporters
Event: United Way of Greater Chattanooga’s annual meeting
Benefits: Marked United Way’s 86th year to reach its community campaign goal; this year’s total was $11,771,018

Donations help Samaritan Center
Benefits: Samaritan Center social services agency
Donors: Wal-Mart donates $1,000; businessman Franklin Farrow donates $5,000, a matching gift for donations made to the center’s annual campaign.
Purpose: Both donations will be used to provide emergency assistance to residents of East Hamilton County.

Track Club helps UTC
