Noma M. Goodin of ReMax Properties LLC has received the accredited buyer representation designation from the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors. The designation shows that an agent has taken coursework in buyer representation.
Rachael Henderson gets recognition
Rachael Henderson of Crye-Leike Realtors has earned the accredited buyer representative and accredited staging professional designations.
The ABR is awarded to real estate agents who meet the specified educational and experience criteria by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors.
To obtain the ASP designation, Ms. Henderson took courses on preparing homes for sale.
Ms. Henderson is with Crye-Leike’s downtown Chattanooga office and is licensed in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. She holds the e-PRO designation.
Entrepreneurial salute goes to Crye
Harold Crye, CEO of Crye-Leike Realtors, has been named the 2009 Master Entrepreneur by the Society of Entrepreneurs in partnership with Junior Achievement of Memphis.
This award is given to the member of the society who best shows the characteristics of self direction, determination, creativity, leadership and integrity, according to a statement.
“When you look at this particular award, it’s imperative that it go to someone whose business activity has withstood the test of time,” said Jeff Webb, chair of the award selection committee. “When you look at the roots of Harold’s company, he started small and expanded from one office to become a regional presence.”
Purcell joins firm as a broker
Brenda Purcell has joined ReMax Renaissance Realtors as a broker.
She sold more than $6 million in 2008 and has been in the real estate industry for more than seven years. She is licensed to sell real estate in Tennessee and Georgia and specializes in residential and commercial sales.
She holds the accredited buyer’s representative and the senior real estate specialist designations.
She and her husband Mike live in Walden.
Boland presented production award
The Chattanooga Area Mortgage Bankers Association has presented its Silver Production Award to Sherri Boland.
She works at the Hamilton Place branch of Northwest Georgia Bank as a mortgage originator and earned the recognition for originating $10 million to $20 million in mortgages in 2008. It is the fourth consecutive year she has earned a production award, including a Gold Production Award in 2007.
The honoree is a 1987 graduate of Ringgold High School and lives in Ooltewah with husband Jason.
Elwynn Schwartz earns designations
Elwynn Schwartz, who is owner-broker of Chattanooga Real Estate Consultants, formerly Realty Executives of Chattanooga, has earned the EcoBroker certified and Green designations.
The Green designation is from the National Association of Realtors.
The EcoBroker designation trains agents to deal with energy and environmental issues that affect real estate sales, according to a statement.
Tim Swafford gets builders award
Tim Swafford of Swafford Construction Co. and Independent Living of Tennessee has received the 2008-2009 Remodeler of the Year Award. The Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee presented the award.
Mr. Swafford serves as president of the association’s Remodelors Council.
ReMax Center Plus names winners
ReMax Real Estate Center Plus has named agent awards for 2008.
The ReMax International Executive Club award is based on gross yearly commission amounts. The winners were: Martha Alexander, Buddy Eubanks, Brenda Harden, Mary Ann Rogers and Wayne Thomas.
In the LaFayette office, Carol Potts received top sales agent, while Teresa Hogg received top listing agent. Mary Ann Rogers was top sales agent for East Ridge, while Brenda Harden was top listing agent.
Peer-voted awards were: Red, White & Blue Award, Mr. Eubanks; and Above The Crowd Award, Ms. Harden.
Chris Sexton joins Realtors group
Chris Sexton has joined the Tennessee Association of Realtors as director of government affairs.
Mr. Sexton most recently served as public affairs director for the Chattanooga Association of Realtors.
He has more than 10 years of experience in governmental and political affairs.
