Tennessee: Police say man points gun when sex demand refused

ATHENS, Tenn. — Police have arrested an East Tennessee man after a woman said he pointed a gun at her when she refused his $100 offer for sex.

The complainant said that happened after 35-year-old Christopher Warner Roderick of Niota (pulled into her driveway and honked his truck horn until she came outside.

The Daily Post-Athenian in Athens reports the 35-year-old Roderick was arrested Sunday on a charge of aggravated assault and possession of Oxycontin and another drug without a prescription.

Athens police records show Roderick was freed on a $10,500 bond. Court officials said Tuesday that Roderick does not yet have an attorney identified in the case record. Attempts to reach Roderick by phone were unsuccessful.

Roderick told investigators the prescriptions were mistakenly left in his truck by a friend.
