My son-in-law, Sgt. Christopher Thurman, of Soddy Daisy has been stationed at Fort Hood since 2005. He just returned in September of this year from a 14 month deployment in Iraq. He was on base at the time this incident happened; however, was not in close proximity. I have the utmost respect for our military and am proud of each and everyone of our soldiers, but it saddens me to know there may be more enemies living within the walls of our secured bases.
