Window World sponsors Andretti

A Chattanooga business is racing at Nascar's Amp Energy 500.

Window World will be the primary sponsor of the No. 34 Chevrolet driven by John Andretti at this weekend's race at the Talledega Superspeedway in Talledega, Ala.

The business also was the sponsor during this year's Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and five other Sprint Cup races during the 2009 season.

Officials said the company had its best year ever since making its racing sponsorship debut despite the recession.

"Getting involved with this sport has been a real thrill and a business success story for us," said Todd Whitworth, CEO of Window World.

"We got our feet wet with the Daytona 500 and felt it was pretty successful," he said, "so we added a few more races in the season. Then the opportunity to partner with John (Andretti) and Richard Petty for the Indianapolis 500 was something you can only dream about."

Window World is based in North Wilksboro, N.C. and has more than 200 offices nationwide. There are 13 employees at the 3740 Powers Court location in Chattanooga.
